Captain Bobby D. Denham
Captain Bobby Denham has been a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for the past thirty-three years and is presently the commander of Palmdale Station, which provides law enforcement services to an area encompassing over 770 square miles.
In March of 2007, when the Antelope Valley Crime Fighting Initiative was first implemented, Captain Denham was appointed as the initiative’s Coordinator due his unparalleled experience and professional relationships throughout the Antelope Valley region.
Captain Denham has worked in the Antelope Valley since 1985 and was instrumental in developing and implementing the community policing programs currently existing throughout the valley. He has received numerous awards for Palmdale Station’s highly regarded “Partners Against Crime” program, which he developed when he was a Sergeant and continued overseeing as a Lieutenant.
The program’s ongoing mission is to build strong community partnerships by working directly with local residents, landlords, businesses, and other city entities to address quality of life issues affecting their respective communities. For his ongoing leadership in law enforcement, and career-long commitment to community policing, Captain Denham was the recent recipient of the Department’s highest tribute, the Distinguished Service Award.
Captain Denham is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Studies from California State University of Long Beach. |
