About Us


The Altadena Station is located in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains between the cities of Pasadena, La Canada/Flintridge, Sierra Madre, and the Angeles National Forest. The Altadena Station provides law enforcement services to the unincorporated county areas of Altadena, Pasadena, and remote unattached parts of the city of Pasadena covering an estimated 8.5 square miles and an estimated 90,000 residents.

Sheriff's Reserve Search and Rescue Team:
The Altadena Station is known for the quality of its Sheriff's Reserve Search and Rescue Teams.

Volunteer Programs:
The community-based program at the Altadena Station provide invaluable support to the station. These programs include Volunteers on Patrol, Neighborhood Watch, and business watch. Volunteers alone donate thousands of hours staging such events as Open House, the Haunted Jail, Kid Print, and others that help make the station an integral part of the community.

Explorer Program:
The Explorer Post at Altadena Station is involved in law enforcement training and competitions. This is to expose young people who may be interested in a career in law enforcement to the daily routine of deputies in the field.
