Deputies responded to Diamond Ranch High School, Diamond Bar, regarding a student who was possibly in possession of a firearm.
Deputies arrived swiftly and coordinated a plan with school officials. Deputies discovered the Subject named in the call was currently in class and conducted a thorough search of the classroom. Deputies located and recovered an unloaded firearm inside of his backpack which was next to his desk on the classroom floor.
It was later determined the firearm had been reported stolen in 2008.
