June 11, 2013
On June 11, 2013, Deputies from Industry station were in the area of Valley Blvd and Temple St, in Basset, conducting a search for a narcotics suspect. As deputies scoured the area for the suspect, Deputies Bazyouros and Coker decided to look for him near the riverbed and under the 605 freeway.
Although their search in the brush didn't lead them to the suspect, Deputies Bazyouros and Coker did find something unexpected; two puppies hiding under a large log. After they were unable to locate an owner, Deputies Bazyouros and Coker decided they couldn't leave the puppies behind, so they opted to take them and find them a good home.
With the help of Industry Station Phone Operator Mendez, The two puppies were placed in a good home with a local resident.
These two puppies (now named Cody and Spencer) are enjoying their new lives of long walks and play time at local dog parks with their new sibling "Star."
