INDECENT EXOSURE AND STALKING

7/1/2013

On Monday, July 1, 2013, at approximately 8:15pm, a male Hispanic driving a white Toyota truck accosted a female juvenile and her younger brother as they were walking on Hubbard Street near Atlantic Boulevard in East Los Angeles. The suspect slowed his truck and called to the female juvenile to look at him while he exposed himself. The female victim immediately dialed 9-1-1 using her cell phone, and the suspect drove away.

The victims were able to obtain a partial license plate number from the truck. East Los Angeles Station detectives were able to identify the truck and its registered owner (Oscar Manuel Iturralde). On Wednesday, July 3, 2013, East Los Angeles Station detectives located the suspect at a nearby residence, and he was arrested for indecent exposure. In addition, Mr. Iturralde had been stalking the female juvenile who reported the incident. Therefore, he was additionally charged with stalking.

Mr. Iturralde was also wanted on several other counts of indecent exposure, which had occurred during the past few months. Mr. Iturralde was targeting female teenagers as they walked to school. These cases are currently being investigated by the Los Angeles City School Police.
