Malibu Sheriff's Station Traffic Detectives Continue Investigation of Monday's Fatal Crash on PCH

On Monday, April 24, 2012, at 5:00 PM, deputies from the Los Angeles County Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station responded to Pacific Coast Highway and Tuna Canyon Road, Malibu, regarding the report of a head-on traffic collision.



Preliminary information indicates that a vehicle travelling eastbound Pacific Coast Highway veered into traverse traffic and collided into a vehicle travelling in the westbound #1 lane. Both drivers were sole occupants of their vehicles.



The drivers were airlifted to a local hospital, where the first driver, a male Hispanic/25, was pronounced dead.



Traffic investigators from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
