On Sunday, April 22, 2012, at approximately 4:20 PM, Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station personnel responded to the 24400 block of Piuma Road, in an unincorporated area of Malibu, regarding the report of a possible shooting at the location. There, deputies contacted Courtney Wagner, FW/38, resident of Malibu, and Matthew Cox, MW/24, resident of Malibu, at the residence.
As deputies investigated the incident, they recovered several handguns and several baggies of what appeared to be narcotics at the location. Mr. Cox was placed under arrest for suspicion of Discharging A Firearm In A Negligent Manner and Ms. Wagner was placed under arrest for suspected Possession of Narcotics. Both suspects were booked at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station and subsequently released on bail bonds.
No one was injured at the location and the incident is currently under investigation. There are no outstanding suspects.
