South LA COPS Team Parole Search Operation Yields Multiple Arrests

On February 27, 2014, Cops Bureau South LA team conducted a parole search/saturation patrol operation in the Vermont/Athens area of South LA Station.

Deputies from Century CIT Team, Compton COPS Team and Parole Compliance Team #3 conducted patrol saturation as well as parole compliance checks at 10 pre-designated locations. As a result of the search operation, two persons were arrested for felony crimes including a known "Hoover Criminal" gang member for possessing ammunition.

The patrol saturation component of the operation resulted in 13 misdemeanor arrests for various crimes and three narcotics related felony arrests including a known "Raymond Ave Crip" for possession of cocaine for sales.

Two officers from California Highway Patrol (West LA) also assisted and issued 13 traffic citations in the target area.
