Parole Compliance Teams Break Up Cock Fighting Operation, Seize Narcotics

Parole Compliance Teams conducted a parolee at large apprehension operation in the Century Station area. While conducting a search for a parolee at large, deputies discovered a possible cock fighting operation at a business in the 5900 block of Long Beach Avenue. Approximately 30 fighting roosters and numerous pieces of cock fighting paraphernalia were seized. Large quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and a stolen firearm were also seized. Three arrests were made for charges including animal cruelty, possession for sales of narcotics, possession for sales of marijuana, and felon in possession of a firearm.
