09/02/14

Lancaster Deputies responded to George Lane Park in Quartz Hill regarding an Armed Robbery and Car-Jacking late Monday night. The Lancaster Robbery Suppression Team (RST) also responded to handle the investigation. The investigators determined that a male adult victim and female adult victim were at the park when three unknown male suspects approached them with one suspect holding a hammer. The suspects stole personal property, money, and keys to the victim's 1997 Toyota Camry and drove off.

The RST Detectives continued to work the case throughout the early morning hours until about 1030 a.m. Tuesday, when the stolen vehicle was seen near the intersection of Ave J-8 and 27th St East. The three suspects attempted to flee from deputies in the stolen car by speeding away onto the 43800 Block of Delgado St. The suspects drove onto a front lawn of a home which ended at the cul-de-sac of Delgado St. Two suspects remained in the car and were immediately apprehended by deputies while one suspect ran away from the scene. The fleeing suspect was ultimately arrested after more than a one hour long containment of the surrounding neighborhood. All three arrested individuals were male juveniles. Two subjects are 17 years-olds from Los Angeles and one subject is 16 years-old from Palmdale. They were booked at the Lancaster Station Jail for Robbery and Car-Jacking. They were transported to Sylmar Juvenile Detention Center and held on No Bail.
