On March 14th, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department distributed over 1,000 surveys throughout West Lancaster neighborhoods as part of the Sheriff's Department Public Trust Partnership program. The data from this survey is tabulated and ready to be publicized.
Lancaster Sheriff's Station Capt. Pat Nelson will be present along with Department representatives from the Sheriff's Special Operations Bureau. In partnership, they will develop and implement strategies to address the identified issues, such as, but not limited to burglary and narcotics suppression, gang mitigation, graffiti/vandalism abatement, juvenile delinquency reduction, neighborhood safety after dark, Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) operations, stray animal control, illegal vendor enforcement, loud party, and enhanced traffic enforcement.
This event is open to the public and will be held in the George Lane Community Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. located at 5520 West Ave L-8, Lancaster, CA 93536. You may contact Dep. Miguel Ruiz in the Lancaster Station Community Relations Office at (661) 940-3832 for additional information.
