Lomita Detectives Seeking Identification of Burglary Suspect Caught on Video

04/06/2016

On April 6, 2016, at approximately 9:00AM, Lomita deputies responded to a residential burglary alarm call on the 6100 block of Arrowroot Lane in Rancho Palos Verdes. Updated information led deputies to believe the suspect was possibly still at the location. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a smashed glass door and confirmed a burglary had in fact occurred; however the suspect had already fled. Security video captured the suspect in the act of breaking the glass door, which was determined to be the point of entry. The suspect is described as a male White or Hispanic, in his late 20's to 30's, with brown or black facial hair, wearing a brown, brimmed hat, black framed prescription glasses and navy blue denim type shirt and pants. The suspect vehicle is believed to be an older white Lexus sedan with a sunroof. Loss was unknown at the time of this release.

The suspect was posing as a solicitor for solar energy in the immediate neighborhood prior to the burglary.

Anyone with more information is urged to call Detective Jimmy Duckworth at (310) 891-3213 or Sergeant Mark Moffett at (310) 891-3215.
