The suspect (Shahmohammdian) has an extensive criminal history regarding theft and robbery charges. On 10-6-11, the suspect was released from state prison and placed on Parole.
On 12/17/11, at approximately 1230 hours, Suspect Shahmohammdian attempted to shoplift from Gelson's Market at 8330 Santa Monica Blvd in the City of West Hollywood. When confronted, Suspect Shahmohammdian fought with store security, deliberately broke a bottle and used the broken glass as a weapon in an attempt to stab the employee. Suspect Shahmohammdian fled the location.
West Hollywood detectives investigating the case identified the suspect and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
On 1/23/2012, SHAHMOHAMMDIAN was arrested in West Hollywood. At the time of his arrest, the following were found in the suspect vehicle: (2) bottles of Johnnie Walker Red Label, (2) bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label, (3) bottles of Grey Goose, and (1) bottle of Santa Margherita. All recovered bottles still had the security sensor caps attached.
