Is This Your Safe? Safe found on sidewalk after possibly stolen in a crime.

On June 13, 2012, deputies from Palmdale Sheriff's Station were called to the intersection of 45th St. West and Avenue N-8, Palmdale, regarding a found safe.

The safe was found on a sidewalk in a somewhat isolated and rural area.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives believe it was possibly taken in some sort of crime. The dial on the safe had been removed. There were miscellaneous pieces of paper in the safe, however, nothing that would enable us to find the owner.

Anyone who may have been a victim of a theft or had this type safe taken is requested to contact detectives at Palmdale Sheriff's Station, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Or, if you wish to remain anonymous, call "Crime Stoppers" by dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477), texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org
