For the last eight months, the Victim (Povitsky) has been receiving e-mails from the Suspect (Van Lint), whom she had never met, that were becoming increasingly aggressive and inappropriate. He told the Victim (Povitsky) that he lived in Belgium and that he intended to travel to Los Angeles to meet her. Fearing for her safety, the Victim (Povitsky) filed a report with the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station. Based on information obtained from the Victim's (Povitsky) e-mails, investigators responded to the "Roadway Inn," 6826 Sunset Boulevard in the City of Los Angeles, to contact and arrest a stalking suspect..
The investigation revealed that the Suspect (Van Lint) had been stalking the victim for the past 8 months (via e-mail) from Belgium.
