Vehicle Burglary Suspect Arrested

August 9, 2012

On 08/09/12, West Hollywood Station Deputies responded to a burglary call at the 1000 Block of North Laurel Avenue. The first deputy to arrive gathered pertinent information and issued a crime broadcast. A deputy located the suspect at the 1100 Block of North Crescent Heights Boulevard. A witness positively identified the suspect. Property found in possession of the suspect has been linked to five vehicle burglaries in the City of West Hollywood.

The suspect is a local transient who was previously arrested and convicted for vehicle burglary in March, 2012. He also has prior arrests for robbery, burglary, battery and narcotics violations.

There has been an increase in vehicle burglaries in and around the City of West Hollywood in the weeks leading up to this arrest.
