Victims of Assault Stabbed Multiple Times

September 13, 2012

On September 13, 2012, at 2:55 P.M., deputies from the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station received a call of an assault with a deadly weapon where two victims were reportedly stabbed multiple times.

When deputies arrived, they found a Hispanic male and a pregnant Hispanic female lying on the sidewalk, bleeding from multiple stab wounds. Witnesses reported the suspect responsible for the stabbing remained inside the residence.

Deputies surrounded the residence, providing a safe area for firefighter paramedics to treat the injured victims. The victims were ultimately transported away from the scene to waiting air ambulances and were flown to County USC Medical Center for emergency treatment. One of the victims immediately underwent emergency surgery. Both victims are listed in guarded condition.

A Special Weapons Team was deployed and the suspect surrendered to team members without incident.

The suspect was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and attempt murder at Walnut/Diamond Bar Station. His bail was set at one million dollars.
