Compton detectives arrest suspect who sells stolen vehicle on Craigslist



Compton Sheriff's Station Detectives continues to be diligent when investigating all crimes including vehicle thefts. This is accomplished through proactive law enforcement and investigative techniques possessed by our patrol and investigative personnel.



On January 20, 2013, at approximately 1:00 pm, Compton Station detectives were contacted by a victim of a vehicle theft. The victim recognized his stolen vehicle and advised detectives he found his stolen vehicle for sale on the Craigslist Website. Further investigation by detectives who prepared search warrants for two locations which led to the arrest of the suspect who subsequently sold the stolen vehicle to another party in East Los Angeles. The stolen vehicle was recovered.



Compton Sheriff's Station continues to lead the fight to prevent crime and injustice, and to partner with the people we serve to secure and promote safety in our community.
