On March 16th 2013, Temple Station hosted its 3rd annual bus pull event at the UFC Gym in the city of Rosemead. During this event, 13 teams competed for the fastest time pulling a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department bus a distance of 40 feet.
The purpose of the event is to raise money for the station fund. The station fund helps pay for, among other things, maintenance costs for Deputy Dave March's Memorial.
The event was sponsored by the Association of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Athletic Association, as well as several local businesses who donated money and raffle prizes. Overall, the event raised approximately $2300.00 for the Station Fund.
