The Medical Services Bureau's mission is to ensure that all inmates receive health care consistent with community standards and Title 15 regulations.
The inmate population has access to full medical services on twenty-four hours, seven days per week basis. The Medical Staff consists of physicians, registered nurse practitioners, and nursing staff, all attending to routine or emergency medical situations.
It also provides discharge planning for inmates released to community hospitals or transferring to state prison facilities to ensure continuum of care.
All inmates are medically screened upon their arrival. Inmates can request further medical and psychological attention at any time, and given medical care in accordance to their needs.
Some of the services offered are Dental, Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Obstetrics, and Gynecological care.
Any services that cannot be provided by CRDF are covered through Los Angeles County and University of California Hospital (LAC&USC). Area hospitals are also utilized during medical emergencies.
