Counterfeit Merchandise Leads to Arrest of Business Owner in Marina Del Rey

Detectives from the Sheriff's Department Counterfeit and Piracy Enforcement team, along with Investigators from Investigative Consultants, served a search warrant at a small boutique store in the Marina Del Rey area seizing more than $40,000 worth of counterfeit Channel and Louis Vuitton jewelry, clothing and hair accessory products.



The detectives initiated an investigation after receiving information the store was selling counterfeit merchandise. The investigation yielded sufficient information to obtain a search warrant for the location and after the seizure, the adult female proprietor of the business was arrested.
