Three suspects arrested in RPV after attempted robbery.

On Tuesday July 2nd, 2013, at around 6:00am, Lomita Station received a 911 call of an attempted robbery that just occurred in the area of Golden Meadow Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes. A husband and wife were on their morning walk with their dog when a dark colored Honda SUV approached them. A male got out of the SUV, pointed a gun at both of them, and demanded that they give him their money. When the suspect discovered that the victims had not brought any personal belongings with them on their walk, he got back in the SUV and the vehicle fled.



Deputies arrived at the scene and then put out a radio broadcast advising other area deputies of this information.



Around this same time, deputies that had been searching for the suspect vehicle spotted a dark colored Honda SUV matching the description from the initial call. They stopped the vehicle, detained the three occupants, and when they heard the radio broadcast, determined that the occupants of the car were the suspects they were looking for. The victims positively identified the suspects and during a search of the suspects' car a gun was located. Based on this information, the suspects were arrested for attempted robbery and booked at Lomita Station.
