On August 15, 2013, Class #26 of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department VIDA (Vital Intervention, Directional Alternatives program began. VIDA is a 16-week intervention program for non-violent "at-risk" youth between the ages of 11 17, to learn how to make better life choices and take responsibility for planning their future. The VIDA program involves the logical progression of law enforcement working in conjunction with local communities and County-wide resources to serve our youth and their families.
