Shortly before noon on Tuesday (February 28, 2012) a search warrant was served in the 43000 block of 16th Street West in the city of Lancaster. As a result of the warrant, LANCAP Deputies seized nearly five pounds of packaged marijuana, a large caliber handgun, and nearly four hundred dollars in cash. The marijuana has an estimated street value of three thousand dollars. They also seized other evidence related to the sales of marijuana.
The resident, 32 year old Dewayne Curry was arrested and faces charges related to the sales of marijuana as well as being a convicted felon in possession on a firearm.
The warrant was part of an on-going investigation led by "LANCAP" deputies into the sales of narcotics at the location.
