Captain Honings Attends "A Day for Heroes" event

On Saturday, November 9th, West Hollywood Sheriff's Station captain Honings attended the 2nd Annual A Day for Heroes Veterans Day concert honoring Veterans and Active Duty Military members presented by the Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and the Greater Los Angeles Fisher House Foundation. The event was held at the Wadsworth Theater at the West LA Medial Center



captain Honings, an US armed services Veteran, attended the BBQ and Concert for Veterans/Military and their families.



The organizer, Fisher House Foundation is best known for the network of comfort homes built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. The Fisher Houses are 5,000 to 16,800 square-foot homes, donated to the military and Department of Veterans Affairs, where families can stay while a loved one is receiving treatment. Additionally, the Foundation ensures that families of service men and women wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan are not burdened with unnecessary expense during a time of crisis.
