East Los Angeles Station has been practicing the strategies of Community Oriented Policing in the city of Cudahy for more than a year and the feedback from the community and the city has been very positive.
As a result, the city council approved the addition of a Service Area Deputy for the city of Cudahy.
Deputy Marino Gonzalez, was selected by Captain Steve Biagini to serve the city as its Service Area Deputy.
On September 22, 2015, Captain Biagini, Lieutenant Samuel Arellano, Sergeant Cynthia Bearse, Deputy Marino and the Cudahy patrol team participated in the city's first Neighborhood Watch Meeting at Wilcox Avenue and Santa Ana Street.
The interaction with the community and our Cudahy policing team was positive, informative and humbling as the community shared their interest in being part of the solution in improving the quality of life for all who work and live in the city of Cudahy.
