Active Shooter Video Nets Award

The LASD won an EMMY helping the public to be safer! Congratulations to the Video Production Unit of the Training Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for this historic win of an Emmy. Thanks to the leadership of Sergeant Harry Drucker and Vance Kotrla, the film "SURVIVING AN ACTIVE SHOOTER," was a Emmy winner.

The video has helped nearly a million viewers become more aware and prepared for their response to an active shooter situation. The film was made to help save lives and the Emmy will help make more people aware of how it can help them. (1.) Get Out (2.) Secure the location (3.) Defend yourself
