On Saturday, March 1st, 2014, a survey was completed for the 2014 Palmdale Focus Neighborhood Area. The results of the survey showed that the primary criminal concerns of the residents were narcotics and thefts; the primary nuisance concerns were run-down buildings and traffic.

On Tuesday, January 7th, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau, Palmdale Station Detectives, and Partners Against Crime (PAC), served a high risk search warrant at a residence in the Littlerock area, resulting in three arrests. Deputies recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition, including several stolen firearms.
Palmdale woman shot, wounded, fast rescued by sheriff's deputies with shooter still inside
The caller said there had been shooting in the home and a woman had been hit by gunfire. The armed suspect was believed to be still inside the home. The deputies rapidly formulated a plan to rescue the gunshot victim. They approached the home and located the woman bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound. The deputies carried her more than 50 yards to where Los Angeles County Firefighters had staged to provide emergency medical care.

The suspect, reportedly armed with a handgun, took the cash register from "Spudnuts" and fled in a blue pick-up truck. 3 Suspects Arrested in Shooting of 7-year-old Girl in Palmdale
On Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at approximately 12:38am, there was a verbal contact between the occupants of one car (suspects) and the occupants of a second car, which was a family including a 7-year old girl. Multiple gunshots rang out from the suspects vehicle towards the family’s vehicle. After evading the suspects vehicle, the family discovered their seven year old girl had sustained a gunshot wound.
SEVEN ARRESTED IN A 13 LOCATION SEARCH
On Thursday, July 18, 2013, the Sheriff Department’s Parole Compliance Team and other local teams from the Antelope Valley Crime Fighting Initiatives (AVCFI) conducted numerous compliance checks of those released under AB-109. During the checks, a total of seven arrests were made of individuals either found not in compliance or arrested on newly discovered charges.

The death of the child is allegedly the result of an incident which occurred Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in the 200 block of East Avenue Q-10, Palmdale.
