A probation search yields marijuana and illegal possesion of firearms.

November 21, 2013

On November, 21, 2013, the Compton Special Assignment Team conducted a probation search at a residence in the unincorporated area of Compton. The team contacted a male who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was also on probation with search conditions. A search of his residence revealed a firearm hidden in an audio speaker box, inside his bedroom. An addition to the firearm, the team recovered a 300 module 1914 single bolt action rifle, 3 boxes of ammunition, 223 cal. bullets, a digital scale, and two large bags of marijuana. The second large bag of marijuana contained 56 individually packaged baggies of marijuana. A records check of the firearm revealed it was reported stolen out of LAPD Foothill division. The male was arrested without incident.
