West Hollywood Deputies Arrest Robbery Suspect and Accomplice

June 17, 2012

On June 17, 2012, at approximately 2:00 am, deputies responded to "Gil Turner's", located at 9101 Sunset Boulevard, in the City of West Hollywood regarding a man with a gun call. A male Hispanic suspect (Suspect Garcia) wearing a blonde wig, ran into the store, produced a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect fled from the location in a white Ford SUV, driven by a female Hispanic suspect (Suspect Velasco).



Responding deputies began a search of the area to locate the suspects. A vehicle matching the description given by the witnesses was stopped at Fairfax Avenue and Fountain Avenue. A field show-up was conducted and the witnesses positively identified the suspects as those who were involved. Deputies recovered the stolen money along with a handgun.



The suspects were arrested for Robbery and Ex-Felon with a Firearm.
