On the morning of Thursday, August 2, 2012, at approximately 5:20 a.m., Malibu/Lost Hills Station deputies responded to the 5300 block of Parkmor Road, Calabasas, regarding a possible burglary that had just occurred. A local citizen had stumbled upon two males that appeared to be lurking around a parked vehicle, and called 9-1-1. The males fled the location in a black, 4-door, Infinity sedan upon being alerted to the citizen's presence. Responding deputies located the vehicle a short distance away and initiated a traffic stop. Upon conducting a field investigation, deputies took the three occupants of the vehicle into custody.
22 year-old Spartak Karabedian, of Van Nuys, 21 year-old Suren Harutyunyan, of Burbank, and a 17 year-old male White subject, also of Burbank, were subsequently booked at Malibu/Lost Hills Station for suspicion of attempted auto burglary. The adult suspects were later released on $20,000 bail and the subject was released to his parents.
Detectives believe the suspects may be related to other property crimes in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call Malibu/Lost Hills Station Detective Justin Solomon at (818) 878-1808.
