On Sunday, Oct. 14th, the 2012 AIDS Walk Los Angeles event will take place in West Hollywood and Los Angeles. As in previous years, some streets will be closed to protect event participants.
Impacted streets will close at 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Those streets include sections of La Peer Dr., Robertson Blvd., Santa Monica Blvd., San Vicente Blvd., Beverly Blvd., Melrose Blvd., and Fairfax Blvd.
Note: San Vicente will be closed between Santa Monica Blvd., and Melrose Ave., starting at 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
San Vicente Blvd will close at 12:00 a.m. Sunday morning between Santa Monica Blvd., and Cynthia Street.
During the event, some streets will have officers posted to allow vehicles to cross streets during periodic intervals. Controlled cross traffic will be allowed at:
- Harper at Melrose (northbound and southbound)
- Crescent Heights at Melrose (northbound and southbound)
- Oakwood at Fairfax (eastbound and southbound)
- Crescent Heights at Beverly (northbound and southbound
- Sweetzer at Beverly (northbound and southbound)
- La Cienega at Beverly (southbound only)
Note: Rosewood Ave can provide east/west travel between controlled intersections, as well as Oakwood Ave.
Streets will open as soon as it is safe to do so.
