The Language and Cultural Diversity of the LASD

03/21/13

One out of three people who live in Los Angeles County were born outside of the United States, and over 50% of households speak a language other than English. The sheriff's deputies, civilians, and volunteers of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. At least 63 languages are spoken by the cultural diverse personnel and volunteers of the LASD.
