On April 25, 2013, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department recognized and honored its volunteers throughout the County, at the 5th Annual Volunteer of the Year and 1,000 hour Pinning Recognition Banquet, in Monterey Park, California. Sheriff Leroy Baca and other Department executives from throughout the Sheriff's Department were present to support the selfless individuals who volunteer their time so willingly.
Crescenta Valley Station Volunteer of the year, Bob Keiter, was present along with Volunteers Bob Pierpoint and Nerces Kevorkian, who both earned their 1,000 hour pin. All three were presented their awards by Sheriff Leroy D. Baca.
