On July 17, 2013, the Los Angeles County Sheriff department's Crescenta Valley Station, conducted their first "Community Advisory Committee" (CAC) meeting at Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.
The CAC members will help station personal better understand the communities' needs, not just what we think they are, but what the community itself tells us they are. The members are the conduit to link deputies with the community and the community to the deputies. The members will also help the deputies with positive programs and allow them to introduce fresh new ideas on how to make Crescenta Valley Station more efficient with the community policing program.
This group was incorporated from local community leaders from La Crescenta and La Canada Flintridge. They include Pat Anderson from the La Canada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce, Jean Maluccio from the Crescenta Valley Chamber Of Commerce, Julia Rabago, Crescenta Valley Drug & Alcohol Prevention Coalition, Harry Leon from the Crescenta Valley Town Council, and Reverend Beverly Craig, a member of the Crescenta Valley Clergy Council.
