Compton Kids Shopped ‘Til They Dropped!

August 6, 2013

The Compton Salvation Army collaborated with the Target Corporation and gave dozens of Compton children money to shop at Target for their "Back to School" clothes and school supplies. The children were elated to have been chosen for this very special event. Each child was partnered with personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Compton Station, and City of Compton employees. Compton Station newly promoted captain, Leonard McCray, and newly elect Compton mayor, Aja Brown, were amongst the adults who accompanied the children as they shopped.
