DECEMBER 2011 Deputies Upton and Maldonado observed two males removing a car battery from a vehicle. Upon detaining the males, they saw that the vehicle had been burglarized and the engine hood had been pried open. The suspect vehicle was located and (12) additional car batteries were recovered. After interviewing the suspects, they admitted to burglarizing numerous vehicles in the area and stealing their batteries. The suspects directed the deputies to the vehicles enabling them to locate additional victims. Congratulations to the above deputies.

Their self-initiated activity and outstanding work are excellent examples of South Los Angeles Stations tradition.
