The Montrose Search and Rescue Team, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and the California Highway Patrol, all responded to Angeles Crest Highway, Mile Marker 41.50, at approximately 1:00 AM on Sunday morning (08-12-13) for a reported traffic collision, with a vehicle over the side. Once on scene, the Montrose Search and Rescue team partnered up with Los Angeles County Fire Department Personnel and repelled approximately 300 feet to reach the two victims who were outside of the vehicle on rugged and unstable hillside. Both patients were given immediate medical treatment, then put into litters and raised up to the roadway where they were transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital by Los Angeles County Fire Department's Copter 18. The CHP investigated the collision and the condition of the victims was not released.
