INTRODUCING COUNTYWIDE SERVICES DIVISION K-9 TEAM

We have our own K-9 Team at Countywide Services Division . Chip, Tula and Ruby and their handlers; Sergeant Mark Jennings, Deputy Guillermo Loza and Deputy Daniel Cassese are ready to respond and conduct searches for narcotics, firearms and explosive devices. Chip has come to us from the Narcotics K-9 Unit and has located several million dollars' worth of narcotics since 2010, leading to the arrests and convictions of dozens of felony drug dealers. Tula and Ruby recently came to us from the United States Marine Corp. They have been deployed in Afghanistan and together have over 120 actual I.E.D. finds and have saved hundreds of military and civilian lives!

The Countywide Services K-9 Team can be dispatched to calls for service of suspicious packages at any County Hospital, County Park, County Facility, Community College Campus or used to clear locations such as College District Board Meetings or County Board of Supervisors Meetings. They can be requested for proactive narcotic searches of Probation Camps, County Parks and County Hospitals.
