LASD Parks Bureau Special Problems Team Arrest 2 Taggers Who Tagged at Pearblossom Park, 33922 North 121st Street, Pearblossom

Special Problems Team Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Parks Bureau arrested two juveniles who tagged public property on Friday, August 1, 2013, at 7:00 a.m. at Pearblossom Park.
After further investigation into the tagging, the Parks Bureau Detectives identified two juveniles as the perpetrators in this case. Deputies from Parks Bureau's Special Problems Team were given the information regarding the two subjects.
On August 7th, 2013, one of the juveniles, a male white 16 years old who resides in Pearblossom, was cited and released for felony vandalism by Special Problems Team Deputies.
On August 8th, 2013, the other juvenile a male white 17 years old who resides in Studio City, and admitted to being a member of a tagging crew in Studio City, was cited and released for felony vandalism by Special Problems Team Deputies.
Both of the juveniles had spray painted (criminal graffiti vandalism "tagging") a gazebo, picnic bench, walls, and other items in the park. The estimated total amount of damage is approximately $2,800.00.
Offenses such as tagging are rare in the Los Angeles County Parks. But when they do arise, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Parks Bureau has a dedicated team of seasoned Detectives that investigate all criminal activity in the parks.
The Parks Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department polices 177 county parks, golf courses and special event venues throughout Los Angeles County.
