Units responded to 10131 Buford Avenue, regarding an automobile fire call. At the location, deputies saw a car port and several vehicles engulfed in flame. Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 18 responded and along with additional Fire -Department resources extinguished the flames. After the Fire Department extinguished the fire, they discovered eight (8) vehicles destroyed, six (6) vehicles damaged and a one hundred (100) foot car port destroyed. An adjacent apartment building on Felton Avenue was damaged. The Fire Department estimates an approximate loss amount to exceed one hundred (100,000.00) thousand dollars. Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain Rachal declared the fire to be arson.
