Los Cerritos Center is one of the safest retail establishments in Southern California. To continue safe practices, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Cerritos Sheriff's Station is conducting emergency preparedness training with mall personnel.
On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, Cerritos Sheriff's Station, Los Cerritos Center and the Los Angeles County Fire Department are conducting an emergency tactical response drill at the mall located at 239 Los Cerritos Center, Cerritos. The event will involve personnel from Cerritos, Lakewood, Norwalk and Pico Rivera Sheriff's Stations. In addition, the Cerritos Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), mall security and store personnel will participate.
Information Only - The drill will be closed to the public. The media is encouraged to attend but will not be allowed in the training area for safety purposes.
This training will simulate a tactical emergency at a mall where deputies and fire personnel will respond and take immediate action to preserve life and property.
