Special Problems Team Arrests Man for Dealing Drugs near Hart Park



Parks Bureau deputies assigned to the North Zone Special Problems Team received information that a male white adult was selling large amounts of narcotics near William S. Hart Regional Park (24151 Newhall Avenue, Newhall). The team's investigation led them to Michael Ward, male, white, 31 years of age living in a trailer park near the western edge of the park. They found that Mr. Ward was on formal probation for sales of narcotics and possession of stolen property.

The Special Problems Team contacted Mr. Ward at his residence and found him to be in possession of a large amount of narcotics including Heroin, Valium and Oxycontin.

Michael Ward was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales and Receiving Stolen Property. He was booked at Santa Clarita Sheriff Station where he is being held in lieu of $30,000.00.
