The Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Booster Club recently held their Annual Golf Tournament at Western Hills Country Club in Chino Hills on April 7, 2014. This tournament was dedicated to the President of the Booster Club, Dr. Jeffrey Lowe who passed away earlier this year. Dr. Lowe, who was a local chiropractor, spent countless hours in support of the community as a former Diamond Bar Rotary President, past board member of the Diamond Bar Chamber of Commerce, and local business man. He was also a San Bernardino County Sheriff Reserve Deputy for over 20 years.
With over 130 golfers and numerous community and regional sponsors, the golf tournament raised over $10,000.00. It was a very successful event, and they are planning an even better tournament for next year.
The Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Booster Club is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide much needed equipment and logistical support to our Volunteers, Explorers, Reserve Deputies, and Disaster Communication Specialists.
