WALNUT / DIAMOND BAR SHERIFF’S STATION BLOOD DRIVE SET

6/19/2012

Walnut/Diamond Bar Deputies host second Red Cross Blood Drive for 2012.

On Tuesday, June 19, the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive. The American Red Cross will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the station. Sponsored by the American Red Cross, the blood drive is an event to raise awareness of Southern California's shrinking blood supply. All blood donations go to Southern California hospitals.

One unit of blood can save three lives. Blood transfusions are often necessary for trauma victims, heart surgery, organ transplants, complications, and other diseases. Unfortunately, law enforcement officers also have been in need of blood following involvement in a critical incident. Law enforcement, community members, family and friends are encouraged to participate in this event.

For further information, contact Lieutenant Chris Blasnek at (909)595-2264.
