Man Arrested for Lewd Acts in Public at Michillinda County Park, 3800 Michillinda Drive, Pasadena. On May 9, 2014, a male Hispanic adult was observed committing lewd conduct while sitting on a park bench and looking directly at children in the playground at Michillinda Park. The lewd act was observed by three park patrons who were at the park with their children in the playground. The sheriff's department was contacted and they dispatched deputies to the scene. Prior to their arrival the suspect fled the area on foot. After further investigation, on May 13, 2014, Parks Bureau Detectives were able to identify the suspect with additional leads that were discovered by the Bureau's crime analyst. Through a determined investigation and sound police work, members of the Parks Special Problems team located the suspect walking in a neighborhood .4 miles away from the park. The suspect, Joshua Duran, male Hispanic 21 years old, who resides in the City of San Gabriel, was identified and arrested. The suspect was also found to have a large amount of Marijuana in his possession. The suspect was transported to Temple Sheriff's Station and booked for Possession of Marijuana for Sales, Lewd and Lascivious Acts in Public, and is being held on a $20,000 bond. The Parks Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department polices 177 county parks, golf courses and special event venues throughout Los Angeles County.
