Compton Deputies arrest woman for selling methamphetamine in front of the Compton Courthouse.

Compton deputies responded to the Compton courthouse court yard to reports of a woman selling narcotics in the area. Upon arrival, the deputies observed a female described in the call conversing with another female and when she realized that the deputies were alerted as to her presence, she immediately walked away and attempted to evade the deputies. She and the other female were detained. During the initial encounter, the deputies noted that she was under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested. A search subsequent to the arrest revealed that she was in possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of selling it. She was additionally charged with, "Possession of a controlled substance for sales."

The other female was released without incident.
