On May 9, 2015, a Mayhem and Assault with a Deadly Weapon occurred at Los Verdes Golf Course, 7000 Los Verdes Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes. The victim, who was waiting inside the reception hall at the golf course for a ride, said two white male adults approached him, became aggressive and told him to leave. When he didn't leave immediately the two suspects started punching him in the face and body. The victim ran and called 911. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released.
The two suspects fled the scene and were unidentified. During a subsequent investigation the suspects were identified as Philip Jule Daro a male white, 30 year old resident of Los Angeles, California and Jeffrey Stephen Gage a male white, 32 year old resident of Torrance, California.
On October 21, 2015, after further investigation, an arrested warrant was procured and suspects Daro and Gage were located and arrested for Mayhem and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Both suspect were transported to the Lomita Sheriff's Station where they are being held in lieu of a $100,000 bail each.
