Cerritos Sheriff's Station Hosts March of Dimes Fundraiser

06/13/12

On Wednesday, June 13, 2012, Cerritos Sheriff's Station partnered with local restaurants to host a fundraiser supporting the March of Dimes. Established in 1938, the March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Sergeant Ciro Racowschi, the event coordinator, received generous donations from 7UP/RC Bottling Company, Olive Garden, BJ's Restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen, Frantone's Restaurant, Pizza Hut, Avenue 3 Pizza and Subs, Little Caesars, Domino's Pizza, Papa John's Pizza, Glory Days Grill and Straw Hat Pizza. Members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the City of Cerritos participated in a luncheon that raised more than $500. All proceeds from the event were donated directly to the March of Dimes.
