About Honor Ride
The Honor Ride Program will feature two levels of Event Experiences;
Owned and Operated Events:
Represented by an unforgettable "Event Experience" blending together military and civilian participants, significant sponsor support, media coverage and a consistent branding message. These events are produced by Ride2Recovery.
Franchised Events:
Run by passionate individuals supportive of our endeavors.
Our Goal:
Ride 2 Recovery Honor Rides will raise funds and awareness for the mental and physical rehabilitation of our nation's Healing Heroes that participate in the Ride 2 Recovery programs, and build custom adaptive bikes for their use.
The Mission of Ride2Recovery:
To improve the health and wellness of healing heroes by providing a life changing experience that can impact their lives forever.
The Ride2Recovery Program:
Ride2Recovery supports Project HERO cycling programs at Military and VA locations around the U.S. to help healing heroes overcome obstacles they face. Cycling is an important part of the recovery and rehabilitation program for two reasons:
1. Cycling is an activity that almost all patients with mental and physical disabilities can participate.
2. Participation in the Ride 2 Recovery Program helps speed up the recovery and rehabilitation process.
A) Ride 2 Recovery provides program events and site locations.
B) R2R designs and builds specially adapted bikes to suit injured veterans needs.
C) It is possible for almost any warrior to participate in the program, including quad amputees.
